The Eco Trust is a charitable trust which celebrates creative talent and inspires environmentally-friendly living and greener, more sustainable lifestyles.

Its key initiative is the Eco Prize for Creativity which brings together these two objectives. This prize is awarded for a creative, literary or artistic work which positively and imaginatively inspires people to be environmentally-friendly and adopt greener lifestyles. It is open to anyone in Scotland from any creative background.

The 2007 Award Event took place in November at The Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Architecture, Design and the City, Glasgow. We anticipate the 2008 Call for Entries will open in the early summer of 2008. The competition opening and closing dates, and all the details required for entry, will be posted on www.eco-prize.org.uk.

In 2007 the Trust introduced a new award - the Eco Award for Inspiring Greener Living. This was awarded to an individual who made a significant contribution in Scotland to inspiring more environmentally-friendly lifestyles.
